After brutal crash at qualifying -

Top10 result for DARK DOG rider Jules Cluzel

Sachsenring, Germany: One more time the riders of the NGM Forward Racing Team convinced with a demonstration of their willpower and their determination on the historical German track, where the ninth event of the season saw both of them as main actors during the race.

A good ninth place for Jules Cluzel, who was able to confirm the promising performance of the weekend which was just obstructed by the spectacular crash during qualifying which forced the young French rider to start from the 17th position on the grid. Luckily Cluzel didn't report serious harms, but just a huge number of contusions and a few stitches on the right elbow.

Alex Baldolini instead showed a respectable comeback race from the 10th row ending up in 17th position.

Alex Baldolini, 25

17th position
"One more coming back race; today I caught up twelve positions and until the middle of the race my speed was not too far from the fastest. But unfortunately it was not enough to end up once again in the points. Nevertheless I will start the summer break really confident as I could improve my feeling with the bike during the whole weekend and I´m convinced that I will be able to be constant within the top15 during the second half of the season."

Jules Cluzel, 16

9th position
"Honestly I'm happy with my result. I did a good start, but during the first laps I struggled a bit to find my rhythm and when I was behind Sofuoglu I tried to break in the same point, but unfortunately I had to release the brake again; I went straight and lost some positions. Later on I found a good pace so that I was able to come back until the ninth place. It might not be a podium but my expectations for that race were not that high. On one hand side I don't like the track that much and furthermore after the crash in qualifying I was not in best conditions. In fact I was positively surprised when I realized during the race that we closed the gap to the fastest. Moreover I worried a bit about the tyre's wear but especially at the end of the race I could push harder than others. Now I'm looking really confident to the next race in Brno where I did a great race last year."
